Product Safety

Every Dim Hour product is designed to run quietly in the background of your evening. A few minutes of care keeps it doing that for years.

Power

Our lighting and diffuser products run on 5V USB power. Use a standard USB power adapter or power bank. Do not connect them to a higher-voltage supply.

Water

Do not submerge any part of the unit. If the product uses water, fill only to the marked line.

Use distilled water

For any product that produces mist, use distilled water only. Tap water leaves mineral deposits that clog the unit and shorten its life. This is the single most common cause of a unit that stops working.

Cleaning

Unplug before cleaning. Wipe the outside with a dry or slightly damp cloth. For mist products, rinse the reservoir weekly and let it dry completely.

Supervision

Do not leave the unit running unattended for long periods or while you sleep in another room. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Placement

Place on a flat, stable surface away from edges, curtains, and electronics.

If something is wrong

If the unit makes an unusual noise, smells of burning, or gets hot, unplug it and email support@thedimhour.com. Do not attempt to repair it yourself.
