On a dark winter morning the room is still black when the alarm goes off. This one starts first: the dome slowly fills with warm light before your wake time, so the room is already bright when the sound comes in.
At night it works the other way round — a low amber glow and one of 30 sleep sounds or white noise, set to switch itself off after anything from 15 minutes to 3 hours.
Runs on 5V USB-C. Plug it in on the nightstand and leave it there.
Before you open it: it needs a USB-C cable and a USB wall adapter, like the ones for your phone, and neither is in the box. A small coin battery inside only keeps the time during a power cut; it does not run the clock.
Battery safety: there is a CR2032 coin battery inside. Keep coin batteries, new or used, away from children. A swallowed coin battery can cause severe internal burns in as little as two hours — get medical help straight away if you think one has been swallowed.

Ships from our international warehouse. Delivery takes 7–12 business days in the US and Canada, free. This one travels further than most of the shop, and we would rather tell you now than surprise you later. Tracking is emailed as soon as it leaves. For Christmas, order by November 30.
Import duties are included. If a carrier ever asks you for a customs charge, send us the receipt and we'll refund it.

Do I need to buy anything else?
A USB-C cable and a USB wall adapter (5V 2A is recommended), like the ones for a phone. Neither is in the box.
How long is the sunrise?
It is adjustable, up to 60 minutes before your alarm.
Does it work as a sound machine?
Yes. It has 30 sleep sounds and white noise, with a timer from 15 minutes to 3 hours.
Is it a light therapy lamp?
No. It is an alarm clock that brings the light up gradually. We make no health claims for it.
When will it arrive?

Can I pay by card without a PayPal account?
Yes. Checkout runs through PayPal, and on PayPal’s page you can choose “Pay with debit or credit card” and pay as a guest. We never see or store your card number.
What if it arrives broken, or I change my mind?
Broken or defective: email a photo within 7 days of delivery and we send a replacement or refund it, your choice. Changed your mind: you have 30 days from delivery to return it unused in its original packaging; return shipping is on you in that case.
